Parking in Salzburg

Due to its location and an ever growing volume of traffic, parking in the city of Salzburg is limited. All parking spaces in the inner city are time-limited parking zones (not just the pay and display areas!).

Short-term Parking in Salzburg

Monday to Friday: 9 am to 7 pm pay & display
Saturday: 9 am to 4 pm, free, with parking meter.
Maximum parking: 3 hours

Signs indicating limited parking zones are set up at all entry and exit points. Some spaces have blue markings on the ground, but these are not required by law and only indicate suggested parking areas.

Cashless parking

The parking ticket machines allow you to pay your parking fee with the Austrian QUICK smart-card payment system.
