Salzburg Congress puts you right in the heart of the town of Salzburg. The panoramic view out of the large windows affords a gaze across to the palace of ‘Schloss Mirabell’ and the world famous gardens; to the Mönchsberg and the Museum of Modernity; and over the rooftops of the old town – which has now been a UNESCO world cultural heritage site for ten years. The Salzach river is just five minutes’ walk away and in another five minutes guests find themselves in the Getreidegasse outside the house in which Mozart was born, or on the Domplatz, or in the residential palace, or in the many wonderful lanes and side streets offering opportunities for a pleasant stroll, an hour of shopping or a break in one of the traditional coffee houses.
The city of Salzburg is located advantageously at the geographic heart of Europe: The international airport offers flights to several large European cities. As Salzburg is the last stop before the German border, the train station can offer excellent Eurocity, Intercity and ICE connections. The journey from Frankfurt to Salzburg takes a mere 5 hours. Moreover, Salzburg is an important hub within the European motorway network, being the point of interface for the A1Vienna-Salzburg motorway, the A8 Munich-Salzburg and the A10 Villach-Salzburg.
