Mozart Saal

The Mozart Saal covers 435 sqm of floor space and is the only hall on the ground floor at Salzburg Congress. The facility provides plenty of potential for creativity and guarantees extremely short distances.

In and out in no time! Sometimes simplicity and convenience are at a premium – and short distances are essential! The Mozart Saal is the second-largest hall at the venue and can accommodate between 60 and 480 people.

A wide variety of seating formats is available, and versatility in terms of space distribution is guaranteed by mobile dividing walls to ensure the greatest possible degree of freedom. The 540 sqm entrance foyer can be integrated in your planning and used in combination for a number of purposes. The Mozart Saal is equipped with a broadband screen and two projectors. At larger events there is direct access to the technical infrastructure of the Europa Saal, so even on the ground floor you’re at the heart of the action!

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791) is Salzburg’s best-known son and is a key reason the city is popular around the world today. The ‘Wunderkind’ composed his first works and gave his first concerts at just five years of age.

In 1781 Mozart left Salzburg and moved to Vienna, where he died when he was just 35 years old. W.A. Mozart’s comprehensive creative output made a major contribution to the history of music.

In Salzburg, the house in which he was born, at Getreidegasse 9, and the family residence in Makartplatz square are two of the most frequently visited museums in the city. The Mozart Foundation is the world’s most distinguished institution curating W. A. Mozart’s musical legacy, and the one known for being most intimately familiar with his works. ‘Mozart Week’ is an event of world renown held every year in January.
