Enjoy freedom of movement-  Accessibility at Salzburg Congress

Salzburg Congress was built to offer complete accessibility. Down the years we have been able to implement a number of additional measures designed to ensure the physically handicapped and guests with sensory impairments enjoy maximum support, independence and freedom of movement.

Salzburg Congress was built to be a facility offering complete accessibility. Down the years we have been able to implement a number of additional measures designed to ensure the physically handicapped and guests with sensory impairments enjoy maximum support, independence and freedom of movement.

One of the guiding principles we pursue every day is to make life easier for others. That applies to all of our events – in our interactions with customers, participants and guests. After all, let’s be honest – life’s sometimes tough enough anyway. So, we want to make it as easy as possible for everybody!

Our goal is to provide people with handicaps and impairments with the best possible infrastructure. Moreover, Salzburg Congress is not merely fully accessible due to the structural measures we have implemented. The team and the people here also guarantee all-round service and support. Please feel free to contact us at any time, to ask questions and to request assistance. That’s exactly what we are here for! Look at us as your first point of contact for advice and assistance. If there is still information you require – simply let us know. We will continue to implement further measures to the benefit of your event.

Assistance for the deaf and people with hearing impairments

As regards event technologies (simultaneous translations, poster discussions etc.) Salzburg Congress has implemented an innovative audio streaming service that enables participants to use their own smartphones as end devices. This service is also of benefit to guests with impaired hearing. The link for the respective event and the associated signal transmission can be obtained by contacting the Salzburg Congress team.

Support for wheelchair users and people with mobility impairments

-    Unrestricted access on all floors. Access to all rooms is guaranteed via several lifts
-    Unrestricted access to toilet facilities on level 1 (cloakrooms), 2 (Europa hall), 4 (Trakl hall) and 5 (Trapp room)
-    It is our pleasure to organise unobstructed arrival access (parking, climbing into/out of vehicles) on request
-    Since there is no permanently fixed seating in the event rooms, seating can be arranged according to the individual requirements of each client.

Guidance system for the visually impaired people

-    Tactile floor groove guidance system on the ground floor
-    Inscriptions on handrails and in the lifts assist the visually impaired and are combined with acoustic signals and announcements in the lifts
